MobileTech gathering this week in Nairobi!
From this simple scatterplot (using data from the world bank) we quickly see a correlation between income (in this case GNI per capita in PPP) and cell phone adoption (per 100 population). Hover your mouse over each individual bubble to see the country that it belongs to (I used a google doc app to make the scatterplot).
Which brings me to the topic of the first gathering in the Tech4Society event series, generously supported by the Lemelson Foundation: Mobile Technology for society. It is taking place this week in Nairobi, Kenya and will feature Fellows who are working on adoption of mobile technologies, accessibility and more.
