Meera-- Meera is a technology consultant at a leading software firm and works primarily for Financial Services clients. She holds a Masters degree from Carnegie Mellon University. She is a trained classical dancer and an amateur photographer. Meera is fascinated by the opportunities that the Ashoka-Lemelson partnership creates for social change-makers and the societies they work for. In her blog posts, she explores how social innovators use technology as a means to improve day to day life.
Paula Cardenau--Paula Cardenau coordinates the Social Business Initiative in Latin America for Ashoka. Prior to this work, Paula was Ashoka's Latin America Integrator and the Executive Director for "Cono Sur" (Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay). Paula managed the technology and social business gatherings in Sao Paolo, supported by The Lemelson Foundation and the Artemsia Foundation, whch gathered 20 Ashoka Fellows, 3 Artemisia Entrepreneurs and leading investors from Latin America.
Sandesh R S--Sandesh R S is a graduate student at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Prior to joining LSE, Sandesh worked in software product development for three years. He has an undergraduate degree in engineering from National Institute of Technology Karnataka Surathkal. Sandesh has been involved with the social sector for over three years and has co-founded a non-profit initiative called iCollective. He is currently working on creating a platform to inspire and initiate youth into the social sector, and to help them in creating a positive impact on society. He is a fellow of the StartingBloc Institute of Social Innovation.
Su Yuen,CHIN --Having worked as a graphic designer in the past and currently as a developer, Su Yuen is venturing into the world of Interaction Design to see how she can apply knowledge she has gained from both industries to improve the experience of applications and systems both in terms of aesthetics and usability. Currently an undergraduate at the National University of Singapore, she spends most of her time working on interaction projects aimed at making a social/life activity simpler. Her latest project involves using Augmented Reality to make language learning more accessible and interactive for any school with the simple setup of a web camera and computer.
Venkat-- Venkat works as an Advanced Technology Associate with a Wall Street bank. He holds a Masters degree from Carnegie Mellon University. He is very passionate about technology and its potential to drive social change. He writes primarily about social entrepreneurship and technology, educational innovation in developing nations, leading social innovators who leverage technology for social change … and other cool transformations happening in the non-profit space.
