At the World Bank's 2009 Global Development Marketplace
For the next three days the World Bank will be having an exposition of it's 2009 Global Development Marketplace (DM2009) finalists. This year's theme's is Climate Adaptation "100 Ideas to Save the Planet". Although it's the first day and we are just starting to set up the Ashoka booth, I am already impressed: the venue is beautiful (it's at the 1818 H street building's main hall) the visual identity of their documents is beautiful, their social media efforts have been well publicised, and they claim that the event will be carbon neutral. There are a few Ashoka Fellows among the finalists and we will be talking with them about their ideas. Our booth is next to the Lemelson MIT booth and we can't wait to talk to them as well!
Follow us through the AshokaTECH blog as we bring you pictures and videos of these three days. You can also join the DM2009 at large on Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, Blogger, Facebook, their blog, slideshare, etc the tag is DM2009 and you can find all through their delicious page. We will be tagging all our entries DM2009 as well.
